Internal Assesment

The very first stage of your assessment is looking at your internal health. We measure data from the following 8 tests and use that to plot your starting point.

Tests

Expound the actual teachings of the great explorer of the truth, the master-builder of human happiness. No one rejects, dislikes, or avoids pleasure itself,

  • Height, weight and body mass index (BMI)
  • Waist to hip ratio
  • Body fat percentage.
  • Resting electrocardiogram (ECG)
  • Lung function test
  • VO2max (predicted) using respiratory gas analysis
  • Anaerobic threshold
  • Basal metabolic rate and estimated energy requirement

Physical

The very first stage of your assessment is looking at your internal health. We measure data from the following 8 tests and use that to plot your starting point..

MUSCULAR ENDURANCE

This refers to the ability of a muscle (group) to contract maximally, one time. This is generally extrapolated from a three-repetition maximum as lifting maximally can have its risks.

MUSCULAR STRENGTH

This refers to the ability of a muscle (group) to contract repeatedly without rest over a period of time.

CARDIORESPIRATORY ENDURANCE

This refers to the ability of the heart and lungs to meet the demands of the body. This can be assessed at rest and in response to aerobic exercise by measuring heart rate/pulse and blood pressure. In general, a lower heart rate and blood pressure indicate more efficient cardiorespiratory functioning and better cardiorespiratory fitness.
